We’ve been playing with the idea over the last few months of buying a truck. Stacy’s dream has always been to own a F250, 4×4, red, etc. She’s always been reasonable about finances and not putting us into debt over a desire, but the past few days, she’s been on a run looking at trucks for sale. We test drove a GMC Sierra and it was nice. They’re pretty and have lots of bells and whistles, but it just feels generic. To top it off, we got a carfax report that shows that the subaru was in an accident and was damaged. The dealer didn’t want to give us what we were hoping for to do a trade-in. We then went to another dealer, hopes dashed and looked at a pretty nice Ram. This felt like a real truck. We left after sitting in the driver’s seat making revving noises and got a burger to discuss. We’re kind of wavering about the whole decision now, but I submitted a request with carfax to update the report and remove the damage since I’ve got copies of the original and new. We’ll see what happens.
