¤Thud¤ And here I am! (EN)

A lot has happened this new year, especially politically, and it has made me rethink my use of social media. I decided to leave Meta—something that was actually quite easy, but to the frustration of many. Yes, unfortunately, you can still find me on Messenger, because I have a few contacts there who refuse to let go and aren’t exactly the most tech-savvy when it comes to finding new ways to communicate.

I’ve worked hard to break free from Google’s tangled web, which stretches across almost every social media platform. Over time, I’ve managed to step away from the places where I leave behind the most money and personal information. But little by little, I’m making my way out of that too!

My next challenge is finding new solutions for podcasts and streaming, since I recently discovered that Twitch is owned by someone I don’t want to support. It’s frustrating when powerful figures control both companies and politics—it creates a mess. In the end, you’re left with two choices: swallow it all and let things slide, or take control and clean up your own digital life.

I choose the Last.
